Al Hilal football club has made a new offer to Lionel Messi, the 35-year-old striker and captain of reigning World Cup champions Argentina.
This club representing Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, is now ready to pay Messi 1.2 billion euros for two years, Foot Mercato reports.
Messi already collaborates with Saudi Arabia and is the ambassador of the tourism department of that country. And now, he can also become the football ambassador of Saudi Arabia in order to present the country's bid for the right to host the 2030 World Cup.
Messi's father has already negotiated with Al Hilal and has given preliminary consent to the deal.
Messi, however, still hopes to receive an official offer from Barcelona and return to this Catalan club, where he wants to work with his former teammate, now Barca manager Xavi.
