On May 6, the leader of the Armenian national team Hovhannes Bachkov (63.5 kg) held a 1/8 final match against Turkish boxer Kanli Bilge Kagan during World Boxing Championships in Tashkent.
The bronze medalist of the Olympic Games in Tokyo, three-time European Champion and three-time World Championship bronze medalist defeated the Turkish boxer with a score of 5:0 and advanced Bachkov to the quarter-finals.
