Bayramyan: I’m glad that high-class player like Tiknizyan chose Armenian national team

Khoren Bayramyan, the midfielder of Rostov and the Armenian national squad, welcomed Lokomotiv Moscow defender Nair Tiknizyan’s selection in favor of the Armenian national football team.

Tiknizyan, 23,  has been called to the Armenian national team for the first time and will prepare for the first match of the UEFA EURO Qualifiers against Turkey.

"Is Tiknizyan naturalized? He is not Brazilian or Uruguayan. He has an Armenian surname, Armenian roots. I believe he had the right to make this choice. I am glad that a high-class player like Tiknizyan chose the Armenian national team. Let all Armenians come to the Armenian national team," Bayramyan said, Sport24.ru reported.

Nair Tiknizyan previously played in the national youth team of Russia.

The aforesaid Armenia vs. Turkey match will be played on March 25.
