Messi breaks Ronaldo's record

PSG star Lionel Messi, 35, broke Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo's (Al-Nassr) record of 37 goals for the European top five clubs with a goal against Montpellier (3-1) in the French championship's 21st round.

Messi has 697 goals in 835 games. He had 672 goals for Barcelona and 25 for PSG.

Ronaldo has 696 goals in 919 games: Manchester United (145 goals), Real Madrid (450) and Juventus (101).
