Dani Alves plays football in prison

Dani Alves, the 39-year-old defender of the Brazilian national team, played football for the first time in prison.

He took part in a match between teams made up of inmates, reports La Vanguardia.

The footballer with the most number of titles won is accused of rape and was arrested by the decision of a Barcelona court this month.

He faces 4 to 12 years in prison.

After that, the Pumas club of Mexico had broken its contract with Dani Alves.

The court did not release him on bail.

The incident had taken place during the New Year holidays, on December 30.

The police had received the complaint on January 2.
