World Championship: Martirosyan is one point behind leader

After 12 rounds of the World Lightning Chess Championship in Almaty, the American Hikaru Nakamura is solely in the lead with 10 points.

Armenian representative Hayk Martirosian, Dutch Anish Giri, Norwegian champion Magnus Carlsen, Russian Daniil Dubov and Romanian Richard Rapport gained 9 points each and share 2-6 places.

Tigran Petrosyan and Shant Sargsyan each have 7 points and share 40-60 places.

The games of the 9th round will be held on Friday.

In the women's tournament Russia's Valentina Gunina and Polina Shuvalova share first place. Armenia's Elina Danielyan shares 9-19th place with 6 points.
