Champions League: Milan book last spot in playoffs; match results of the day

Clubs included in Groups E, F, G, and H played their last matches Wednesday in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League.

Milan booked the last spot to the Round of 16 of this football competition. In the last round they beat Salzburg 4-0 and finished second in Group E, with 10 points. Salzburg will now play in the Round of 32 of the UEFA Europa League.

Chelsea defeated Dinamo Zagreb 2-1 and finished first in this group, with 13 points.

In Group F, RB Leipzig defeated Shakhtar Donetsk 4-0 in the last round and took second place, with 12 points, advancing to the Round of 16 of the Champions League. Shakhtar will continue their campaign in the Round of 32 of the Europa League. Real Madrid, who beat Celtic 5-1 in the last round and amassed 13 points, finished first in this group.

In Group G, Manchester City beat Sevilla 3-1 and became the winner of this group, with 14 points. Sevilla, on the other hand, will now play in the Europa League playoffs. Borussia Dortmund, who had clinched the second place in this group, played a 1-1 draw with Copenhagen.

And in Group H, PSG were hosted by Juventus and won 2-1. The Parisian club finished second, with 14 points, in this group. First-place Benfica, who beat Maccabi Haifa 6-1, also have 14 points. Juventus, however, will continue their campaign in the Round of 32 of the Europa League.
