Novak Djokovic, the 7th ranked player in the world, started the ATP-500 tournament in Astana (Kazakhstan) with a victory.
In the first round, the Serbian tennis player competed with the Chilean Cristian Garin, ranked 81st in the world, and won 6:1, 6:1. The match lasted 1 hour and 2 minutes.
Novak Djokovic's opponent in the second round will be the Dutch Botic van de Zandschulp.
The prize fund of the Astana tournament is 1.9 million dollars.
