Messi's private jet makes 52 trips this summer

Lionel Messi's private jet released as many carbon emissions in three months as the average French citizen would over a 150 years, according to a report, the Daily Mail reported.

The jet is claimed to have made 52 flights from June 1 to August 31.

According to L'Equipe via Zach Lowy, 30 of the flights were intercontinental and 14 were trans-Atlantic, causing extreme levels of carbon emission in just three months.

The total emission for the jet over the three-month period is 1,502 tons of carbon dioxide.

The evidence shows a series of trips between Argentina and the US—mainly to Miami, but also one to New York.

He flew between Buenos Aires in Argentina and Miami five times overall.ё

There were also three trips between Montevideo, in Uruguay, and Miami, on June 10, June 22 and June 23.

There are also trips to and from Brazil, with several flights between Europe and South America.

The PSG forward also flew either to or from Barcelona seven times throughout the French Ligue 1 off season.

Journeys also included trips to Tenerife, Bilbao, Nice, and Figari.
