Armenian champion Pyunik's head coach Yeghishe Melikyan commented on their 1-3 defeat at the hands of Switzerland's Basel in the first round of the Conference League group stage.
"The team has a level, Basel is a serious club, but I am disappointed with their behavior.
There are rules of fair play, but they behaved very "brazenly," so we are waiting for them in Armenia and will give an answer. They scored a very "dirty" victory," said Yeghishe Melikyan.
In the episode with the second goal of "Basel" one of the players of Pyunik was injured and needed medical assistance.
In the second round, Pyunik will play Slovan on September 15 in Yerevan.
