Rafael Nadal, who is currently ranked world No. 3 in men’s singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals, could not reach the quarterfinals of the US Open.
In the Round of 16, the Spanish tennis star lost to world No. 26 Frances Tiafoe (USA) in four sets—and in 3 hours and 31 minutes.
Andrey Rublev (Russia) will be Tiafoe's opponent in the quarterfinals.
