Champions League: First time in 27 years, Turkish clubs fail to qualify for group stage

For the first time in 27 years, Turkish clubs failed to qualify for the group stage of the Champions League.

Turkish vice-champion Fenerbahce suffered a 0-0, 1-2 defeat at the hands of Dynamo Kyiv in the second qualifying round, while champion Trabzonspor lost to Danish Copenhagen (1-2, 0-0) in the qualifying playoffs. 

The Champions League final, which will be held on June 10, 2023, will be hosted by Istanbul.

The group tournament draw will be held on August 25.

First basket։ Real Madrid, Eintracht, Manchester City, Milan, Bayern, PSG, Porto and Ajax.

Second basket: Liverpool, Chelsea, Barcelona, Juventus, Atletico, Sevilla, RB Leipzig and Tottenham.

Third basket: Borussia Dortmund, Salzburg, Shakhtar, Inter, Napoli, Benfica, Sporting, Bayer.

Fourth basket: Marseille, Brugge, Celtic, Viktoria Plzen, Maccabi Haifa. 

Matches of the first round of the group stage will be held September 6-7.
