Barcelona owe the team's Spanish Gerard Pique EUR 52 million, which includes 70 percent of the player's salary for two years before taxes, payments delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic, reports Diari ARA.
The president of the Catalan club, Joan Laporta, said at the meeting with Pique that due to the registration of new players, they had to delay the payments. Pique agreed to a salary reduction, otherwise the club would have to sell his transfer.
