Messi not in Barca’s starting lineup

FC Barcelona manager Tito Vilanova will not include Argentinean national team and Barca striker Lionel Messi in the Catalan club’s upcoming La Liga match against Deportivo de La Coruña, Elconfidencial.es reports.

Vilanova believes the world’s best footballer needs to rest after his two games played with Argentina and his long trips. But the manager did not rule out that Messi could enter the pitch, after all.     

To note, Lionel Messi was initially among the substitutes in Barca’s game against Getafe CF, but, still, he scored two goals when he was substituted into the game.   

The Deportivo vs. Barcelona match will be played on Saturday at La Coruña.
