The next extraordinary congress of the International Boxing Association (IBA) will take place in Armenia during the last week of September, reports the press service of the Boxing Federation of Armenia (BFA).
Turkey and the Netherlands also made bids to host this extraordinary congress, but the BFA won with a clear majority: 15 of the 17 voters.
Armenia will be hosting the congress of an international association of an Olympic sport for the first time.
More than 400 delegates from about 200 countries are expected to attend this IBA extraordinary congress.
