An attendance record was set at the opening match of the 2022 UEFA European Women's Football Championship.
A total of 68,871 football fans attended the England vs. Austria match at Old Trafford stadium in Manchester, and this is a record attendance in the history of this tournament.
England won 1-0.
More than 500,000 fans from 99 countries have bought tickets for the Women's Euro 2022 matches.
There will be fans from China, the USA, and Australia as well.
The final of the Women's Euro 2022 will be played at Wembley Stadium in London.
