World and Armenian football legends play 8-8 draw in Armenia

An event dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) was held in Tsovagyugh village in the Gegharkunik Province of Armenia.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino, as well as Youri Djorkaeff, Fernando Hierro, and several other world football legends played football for children in Tsovagyugh—on the shores of Lake Sevan.

A football field was opened Wednesday by a joint program of FIFA and FFA. The 20x40m pitch is located in Tsovagyugh, next to the village school, and with a beautiful view of Lake Sevan.

The new football field opened for the children of Sevan was first tried out by the world football legends, and FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

The opening of this pitch in Tsovagyugh was marked by a match between the legends of FIFA and the Armenian national teams. The friendly match was a heated battle, but it ended in an 8-8 tie.

The referee of the match was Swiss former referee Massimo Busacca.
