The awarding ceremony of the new European champion Davit Hovhannisyan and vice-champion Ara Aghanyan took place in the capital of Albania, Tirana.
At the European Weightlifting Championships in the 96 kg weight category, Davit Hovhannisyan was declared the champion with the result of 377 kg (171 + 206), Ara Aghanyan registered the result of 375 kg (170 + 205).
The bronze medalist in this weight category was the representative of France Romen Imadushen with the result of 370 kg (160 + 210).
