The American Cup 2022 chess tournament wrapped up in St. Louis, Missouri, with the victory of Fabiano Caruana.
In the final he defeated Levon Aronian, former leader of the Armenian men’s national chess team who has received US sports citizenship.
Caruana received $50 thousand plus a $10-thousand bonus for this win.
And Aronian was awarded $35 thousand for placing second.
