Bayern Munich have been left out of the rest of the competition in the UEFA Champions League.
The reigning German Bundesliga champions hosted Villarreal in the second leg of the quarterfinals, but they had to settle for a 1-1 draw.
Bayern had lost to Villarreal 1-0 in the first leg in Spain.
Villarreal's opponents in the semifinals will be the winners of the Benfica vs. Liverpool clash in the quarterfinals.
