Real Madrid won the Supercopa de Espana (Spanish Super Cup) for the 12th time.
In the final of this football competition held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, Athletic Bilbao could not defend this title they had won last year, as they lost 2-0.
Real had last won the Spanish Super Cup in 2020.
But the record holders are Barcelona, which have won this title 13 times.
The Supercopa de Espana was held for the third time in the format of four clubs.
