Arsenal and Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has heart problems after recovering from the coronavirus, the press service of the Gabonese Football Federation reports.
The 32-year-old footballer could not play in Gabon’s Africa Cup of Nations match against Ghana.
According to the decision of the Confederation of African Football, Aubameyang, as well as Mario Lemina and Axel Meye—who also have recovered from COVID-19—will not play in the upcoming games of Gabon until they undergo a more in-depth medical examination. All three footballers are suspected of having heart muscle issues.
