Henrikh Mkhitaryan: If we can maintain our spot in B League, it won’t be bad

Captain of the Armenia national football team, midfielder for Roma Henrikh Mkhitaryan shared his thoughts on the results of the drawing in the group stage of the UEFA Nations League. The Armenia national team’s opponents in the first group of B League will be the teams of Ukraine, Scotland and Ireland.

“I believe it’s not the easiest group, but we could have had more difficult opponents. We know Ireland very well, and it is safe to say that we have ‘great’ memories. We’re going to play our first game against Scotland, and it also won’t be easy.

As far as the Ukrainian team is concerned, in the 1990s and 2000s, our team played against the Ukrainians several times (8 matches), and we know them very well.

I believe and am certain that we will be able to compete against these teams and surprise them. If we can maintain our spot in the B League, it won’t be bad,” Mkhitaryan said, as reported on the website of the Football Federation of Armenia.
