Eriksen has his first training session after heart surgery

Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen had his first training session after heart surgery, but at the Danish club Odense.

The Italian football authorities did not allow Eriksen to play professional football in Italy, as long as a cardioverter-defibrillator was installed in his chest.

Christian Eriksen played for Odense in 2005-2008.

During the first round match of Group B of Euro-2020 against Finland, Eriksen lost consciousness and was taken to hospital after receiving medical treatment for about 20 minutes on the field.

His heart stopped for a few seconds. A cardioverter-defibrillator was placed in Eriksen's chest, which prevents life-threatening cardiac arrhythmias and heart failure.

Athletes with cardioverter-defibrillator are prohibited from participating in professional competitions in Italy.
