World No. 5 seed Garbine Muguruza won the title of the final tournament of the year in the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) for the first time.
In the final match of the WTA Finals in Guadalajara, Mexico, the 28-year-old Spaniard defeated Anett Kontaveit (Estonia) in two sets.
The match lasted 1 hour and 39 minutes.
The WTA Finals’ prize fund was $5 million.
