26-time record-setting strongman Vladimir Sineglazov dies from COVID-19

Russian strongman Vladimir Sineglazov, who set 26 world records (in the course of 30 years), has died from COVID-19 after being in a coma for a few days, tass.ru reports.

“Yes, unfortunately, today we received the sad news about the passing of Vladimir Sineglazov. He participated in several sporting and public events. He died from the coronavirus. He was 61 years old,” the administration of the city of Yelets of Lipetsk reported.

In 2009, Sineglazov was declared the strongest person in Russia.
