Emmanuel "Mike" Agassi, the father of 8-time Grand Slam winner and retired American Armenian tennis player Andre Agassi, has died in Las Vegas.
Mike Agassi was 90 years old, reports the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
Mike Agassi used to be a professional boxer, he participated in the 1948 London and 1952 Helsinki Olympics—and represented Iran.
After that he moved to the USA.
To note, Andre Agassi had won the gold medal in men’s singles at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
