Sao Paulo part ways with Dani Alves

Brazil national football squad’s star defender Dani Alves has left Sao Paulo.

The parties have terminated their contract—which was expected to run until December 2022—by mutual agreement, the club's press service reports.

Earlier it was reported that Dani Alves had not returned to the club after the Tokyo 2020 Olympics—and due to salary arrears.

He might continue his playing career either in the UAE or Saudi Arabia.

The Brazilian is the footballer with the most number of titles won in history, as has won 42 titles.
