Two-time Olympic champion, unsurpassed world record holder Yuriy Sedykh dies

Yuriy Sedykh, a two-time Olympic champion in the hammer throw and a member of the ex-USSR national team, has died at the age of 66. This was announced by Sergey Bubka, Vice President of the International Association of Athletics Federations, and Olympic pole vault champion.

"Deeply mourn the loss of Yuriy Sedykh...An outstanding two-time Olympic Champion, whose fantastic World record in Hammer Throw (86.74) for 35 years is st[i]ll not broken," Bubka wrote on Twitter.
