Daniil Medvedev (Russia) has won the US Open for the first time.
In the final of the men's singles of this tennis tournament that wrapped up in New York, the World No. 2 ranked beat the World No.1, Novak Djokovic (Serbia), in three sets. The match lasted 2 hours and 16 minutes.
Medvedev has won a Grand Slam for the first time, whereas Djokovic missed the opportunity to win the Grand Slam in a calendar year.
