Roma hosted Fiorentina and won 3-1 in their season opener of the Italian Serie A. In the 26th minute of this game, Armenian national squad captain and midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored Roma's first goal in the new Serie A season. Mkhitaryan was subbed off in the 84th minute.
