Mourinho: If anyone thought it would be easy for Roma they were wrong

Roma's Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho commented on their 2-1 win over Trabzonspor in the Europa Conference League playoff first leg.

"Trabzonspor are an opponent of the qualification level of the Champions League. The pressure was great. If anyone thought that it would be easy for Roma, they were wrong. The fans played an important role, creating a wonderful atmosphere.

It is disturbing that we reached the penalty area many times, but it did not end with a goal, and some players did not follow the tactical plan completely.

But I liked the team's game; we won. I would have had positive feelings even without the win," Mourinho said, Sky Sport Italia reported.

The return leg in Rome will be played on August 26.
