Tokyo 2020: Armenia’s Artur Davtyan starts campaign with brilliant performance (PHOTOS)

Artur Davtyan (Armenia) on Saturday kicked off with a brilliant performance the men’s gymnastics competition at the 32nd Summer Olympics in Tokyo, the capital of Japan.

The European and European Games champion scored high points in the qualifying round of the Vault event.
Davtyan scored 14,866 points in the sum of two jumps in his main event and is the current leader.

The final results will be announced at the end of the qualifying round.

The qualifying round of the Pommel Horse will get underway soon, and Artur Davtyan will compete in this event, too.

Armenia has 17 athletes competing in eight sports at Tokyo 2020.
