The 2021 IWF Junior World Weightlifting Championships will kick off on May 23 in Tashkent, and the Armenia national weightlifting team will also participate.
Gor Sahakyan (67 kg), Karen Margaryan, Suren Grigoryan (both in the 81 kg category), Garik Karapetyan (96 kg), Petros Petrosyan (102 kg), participants of the girls’ tournament Milena Khachatryan (71 kg) and Liana Gyurjyan (81 kg), the news service of the National Olympic Committee of Armenia reports.
The participants were escorted to the venue by coaches Melik Ghukasyan, Hakob Filosyan and Taron Tovmasyan.
Manager of the Armenia national weightlifting team, international referee Pashik Alaverdyan will be one of the members of the referee committee.
