World’s eighth racket Serena Williams made it to the second round of the WTA-250 series in Parma, Italy after beating world’s 572nd racket, Italian tennis player Liza Pigato 6-3, 6-2. The game lasted 1 hour and 8 minutes.
This is the first victory of Serena Williams after she defeated Romanian Simona Halep 6-3, 6-3 during the quarter-final of the Australian Open back in February.
Czech tennis player Katerzhina Sinyakova will be her opponent in the second round of the championship in Parma.
