Levon Aronian (Armenia) has advanced to the semifinals of the New In Chess Classic, the next online competition of the Champions Chess Tour of world chess champion Magnus Carlsen (Norway).
In the quarterfinals, Armenia’s top chess Grandmaster defeated Wesley So (US).
Aronian's opponent in the semifinals will be Carlsen himself.
The winner of New In Chess Classic will be announced on Sunday. The prize fund of this competition is 100 thousand US dollars. The winner will receive 30 thousand dollars, the runner-up—15 thousand dollars, and the third—8,500 dollars.
