Russia’s representative, Armenian tennis player Margarita Gasparyan failed to score a pass to the main stage of the WTA-100 taking place in Madrid.
At the outset of the qualifying round, the Armenian tennis player competed with 18-year-old Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk and was defeated 4-6, 1-6 after the game that lasted 1 hour and 15 minutes.
During the final of the qualifying round, Kostyuk will compete with the winner of the match between Anastasija Sevastova (Latvia) and Tsvetana Pironkova (Bulgaria).
