Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Levon Aronian make statements on Armenian Genocide anniversary

Roma midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan took to his Twitter to made a statement referring to the 106th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

"I am Armenian. I am proud to be. I know what April 24th means. Enough is enough. Recognize the Armenian Genocide 1915 & lives of over 1,5M killed," he tweeted.

Former leader of the Armenian chess team Levon Aronian also paid tribute to the memory of the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide.

"Every Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day i think about our heroes who never gave up fighting for our national survival. Their selflessness and devotion to one goal.

It's naive for us to think that Turkish state and it's friends that never recognized it's atrocities will ever do. They proved in 2020 Karabakh war that they will use every chance to kill Armenians," he wrote on his Facebook.
