"Artsakh" basketball team member Aram Mkrtchyan dies heroically in Karabakh war

The Armenian Basketball Federation has issued the following statement:

“The Armenian Basketball Federation informs, with deep sorrow, that member of the “Artsakh” basketball team, former member of the U-20 basketball team of Armenia Aram Mkrtchyan heroically died in the battles that were led for homeland defense during the war in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).

His remains were found six months after the war. All of his friends and relatives had been waiting for his return, but the miracle didn’t happen.

The Armenian Basketball Federation expresses its condolences to the family, friends and relatives of Aram on the occasion of his premature death, as well as to the relatives of all the victims of the war.”
