The 32nd Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, may be held without foreign fans amid the COVID-19 pandemic, The Mainichi reported.
The issue will soon be discussed at a meeting between representatives of the Japanese government and the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
According to IOC President Thomas Bach, security will be a priority in hosting the Olympic Games. The organizers of the Olympic Games have already sold 4.48 million tickets.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games were postponed for a year.
