Thomas Tuchel becomes Chelsea's first German manager

Chelsea officially announced the appointment of Thomas Tuchel as manager of the team. Tuchel, who coached PSG for two-and-a-half years, has replaced Frank Lampard and become Chelsea’s first German manager, as reported on the official website of the football club.

Chelsea signed an 18-month contract with Tuchel, with the possibility of extension.

Christian Pulisic, one of the members of Chelsea, has played for Dortmund Borussia, and Tiago Silva has played for PSG under Tuchel’s leadership.

Chelsea will hold their first raining under Tuchel’s leadership, and on January 27, the team will compete with Wolverhampton in the 20th round of the English football championship.

Chelsea are in 9th place with 29 points after 19 rounds of the Premier League.

Under Tuchel, PSG have become France’s champion twice and have become the winner of the French football cup and the French League cup once. This past season of the Champions League, PSG made it to the final and were defeated by Bayern Munich 0-1.
