Karen Giloyan appointed Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Armenia

I won’t be involved in politics. I’ll only work on the development of Armenian sports. Please, don’t politicize my appointment. I’m involved in sports. This is what newly appointed Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Armenia, TV sport commentator Karen Giloyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“I’m not politically affiliated. I have never been, am not and will not be involved in politics. I will only work on the development of Armenian sports. I am actually on my way to Stepanakert where I will ring in the New Year. However, I also have another goal to accomplish. In a short period of time, my friends and I helped restore and repair the single combat school that was destroyed in Martakert during the war. We will open the school on December 31 and provide the children with sportswear and equipment. This is not a state program. We will help develop Armenian sports through all the possible resources,” Karen Giloyan said.

By the decision of Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, today Karen Giloyan was appointed Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport.
