Frank de Boer appointed manager of Netherlands national football team

Frank de Boer, 50, has been appointed manager of the Netherlands national football team, as reported the Royal Netherlands Football Federation’s press service. The sides have signed a two-year contract.

The position of football manager of the Netherlands national football team had remained vacant after Ronald Koeman left to coach FC Barcelona.

Frank de Boer’s previously served as coach of Atlanta United and quit his job in July. The formerly legendary center-back for the Netherlands national football team has also coached Amsterdam’s Ajax, Italy’s Inter Milan and England’s Crystal Palace. He has also been an assistant to the manager of the Netherlands national football team.
