New manager Koeman still has no right to be on Barca bench

Recently appointed Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman still has no right to be on the Barca bench for official matches, Cadena COPE reported.

The thing is that Quique Setien, who was fired at the end of last season, is still registered as the head coach of Barcelona.

The Spanish football specialist demands compensation from Barcelona for the early termination of their contract, but the two parties are still unable to reach an agreement in this regard. Therefore, the Royal Spanish Football Federation has not yet legally allowed Koeman to attend the official matches of Barca.

The club’s first official match under the helm of the Dutch specialist is scheduled for September 27—and against Villarreal.
