Russian-Armenian tennis player Margarita Gasparyan faced world No. 8-ranked Serena Williams in the second round of the US Open.
In the match that lasted 1 hour and 35 minutes, however, the American tennis star defeated Gasparyan in two sets and advanced to the third round.
In the first round of the US Open, Margarita Gasparyan had defeated Monica Puig of Puerto Rico in three sets.
