Spartak Moscow owner threatens to pull club out of Russian Premier League

Leonid Fedun, the owner of Spartak Moscow, threatened to pull the club out of the Russian Premier League football because of the penalty that was awarded to Sochi in the 90th minute of their opening-round match of the league.

Thanks to this penalty kick, Sochi equalized the score, and avoided defeat as the game on Sunday ended in a 2-2 tie.

"I do not need support. I will announce tomorrow that we are pulling out of the league. Let them play without Spartak. Yes, that's how you can write," Fedun said, Sport Express reported.

Viktor Kassai, head of refereeing department of the Russian Football Union, stated that the referee of this match had made a mistake in awarding this penalty, as there was no foul in the respective incident.
