Ronaldinho to be released from custody this month?

Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho and his brother may be released from custody and return to Brazil this month, ESPN reported.

A Paraguayan court will conclude its examination of the criminal case on fake passports in the coming days and render a verdict on whether to release Ronaldinho and his brother.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ronaldinho was earlier transferred from prison to a hotel in Asuncion, the capital city of Paraguay.

Ronaldinho was in prison since March 5. He was detained for presenting fake Paraguayan passports. The court decided to have him arrested for half a year, until the end of the trial.
