Sevilla FC thanked ex-head coach Joaquin Caparros who will head Armenia’s national team.
“Thank you for so much and don't forget, here's your home Joaquin!” Sevilla said in a statement.
“Sevilla FC is my home, but the bench is my life. I received a very interesting proposal from Gines Melendez, the technical director of the Federation of Armenia, and I was happy to be back to the pitch,” Caparros said.
Former Sevilla, Deportivo la Coruna and Athletic Bilbao head coach Joaquín Caparrós has been appointed as Armenian national team manager.
The contract will be valid until 30 November, 2021, Armenia’s Football Federation said in a statement.
In 2019 Caparros was awarded gold medal of Sevilla province.
