After discussions with the Romanian Weightlifting Federation, the International Weightlifting Federation has canceled the 2020 IWF Junior World Championships in Bucharest, Romania, reports the IWF’s press service.
The IWF Junior World Championships were scheduled to take place from March 14 to 21 with the participation of representatives from 80 countries. The subsequent congress and session of the executive committee of the IWF were also scheduled to take place in Bucharest, but these events have also been canceled.
Bucharest has already recorded several cases of coronavirus.
