Messi: A real genius has left us

Barcelona star Lionel Messi reacted to the tragic death of basketball legend Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna.

“I have no words... All of my thoughts are with Kobe's family and friends. It was a pleasure to meet him and share good times together. A real genius has left us,” he wrote on Facebook.

Bryant and his daughter were among nine victims of helicopter crash in Calabasas, California.

Bryant ended his basketball career in 2016. Together with Los Angeles Lakers he won five NBA titles.

The basketball legend also won two Olympic golds in Beijing and in London.
